Happy Anniversary, baby. Got you on my mind...

Yes, just a short 14 years ago today, I married the man of my dreams. He even knew how to do that sea food joke. Only in this case, it was "See? Cake!"

As a side note, I didn't start swearing until after I got married. And kudos to those who know which song I'm referring to in my title.

What, you mean we might know the song reference because we're old?

Happy Anniversay!

And of course the swearing didn't start until after you were married...

I always assumed the pottymouth tag came as an adolescent? I guess it's even funnier as an adult! (IF the story you're sticking to is that the swearing came after the wedding...) Regardless, Happy Anniversary!

Becks: Thanks! I liked my dress a lot. I guess those styles must be coming back in vogue for a youngin' like you to be admiring the sleeves.... ;-)

C.W.: No, you would only know the song reference because you're from my generation, and people our age aren't old. Remember, you and I are never growing up.

Elizabeth (and C.W.): I'm serious. The swearing didn't start until after I got married. I think it's because I found someone I felt comfortable enough with to relax a bit. I tried really hard as a teenager to be perfect. (The reasons for that are long and not necessarily blogworthy.) I guess Phil's to blame? Probably not.

Anyway, thanks to all for the congrats.

Julie, thanks for including me in your generation.

I thought the swearing because husbands, much like sewing just sort in incite one to swear...

Awww....I'm glad the hair went away but not the emotions. That's such a great pic. Love the candids!

It took me awhile but I finally figured it out, "Little River Band". Usually, I skip past that on my Greatest Hits CD, in favor of my favorites like Lady, Reminiscing, and Cool Change.

Did I just admit that I own The Little River Band's Greatest Hits? I'm so very, very OLD.

Happy Anniversary!

We own it too, Elastic. It doesn't mean that we're old--just that we have great taste in music.

It means both. You are old...and true, you didn't swear much as a teen. However, you've more than made up for it now, sailor.
