Thanks, all y'all, for the birthday wishes. I had a lovely, relaxing week in Texas. I got to eat at Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse for my birthday and ordered a yummy smoked sirloin that was to die for. (Their spinach artichoke dip is the best I have ever tasted. Ever. End of story.) I also learned a new term for those little yappy lap dogs: hoers d' oeuvre dogs. In a neighborhood where there are still coyotes roaming around, it fits perfectly.
Anyway, when I got home, Phil presented me with the best birthday present ever.
That's right. Guess who's potty trained????
Way to go, T! And a Happy, Happy Birthday to me!

That IS the best birthday present ever!! Congrats, and Happy Birthday!
Glad you had fun in Texas and didn't get attacked by any flying cockroaches. :)
Uh, yes, I'll take one potty trained toddler for my b-day this year. thanks, that'll be all :) lucky you.
Yep, me too, I'll add that one to my wish list!
Hey, Julie, I think April 6th is the best day of the entire year to have a birthday! Happy belated you-day! You're great!!
What a wonderful birthday gift! Birthday parties are the best, but your Texas-sized one sounded awesome!
Potty training at the Pottymouth home. Yesssssss.
Happy Birthday, julie!
way to go pottymouth family!!
Just when I'm feeling good about myself, someone goes and has a birthday and I forget to remember it! Thanks alot.
Just who the h@#%! do you think you are anyway?! What gives you the right to make me feel guilty like that?!
I'm going to make sure you don't know that my birthday is November 1st and no matter what I won't remind you.
Then you too can feel bad about missing the birthday of someone you dearly love and deeply admire and wish you were a better friend and are so happy she got away for a while and even happier that her darling baby is potty trained and wish you were at her house right now to give her a big birthday hug!
So there!
Sniffle sniffle sniff
clean kleen-ex
blow
throw
away
All the way to Texas and no stops in Lubbock.

All right, I realize that the Lone Star State is too big to see in one short visit. I am glad you had a wonderful b-day. :-)
I'll say that's the best present any mom could get! Way to go! I wish my two almost three year old would show some kind of desire to be potty trained. Maybe she's waiting for my birthday. (I can only hope!) Your trip sounded so wonderful. I'm still jealous!
Hey, were you at Macey's this afternoon? We may have crossed paths in the Meat Dept. but I couldn't think of who you were until halfway home. Pretty weird huh.
~cari~: Yes, I was at Macey's this afternoon. I had T and his best friend with me. Was that you with the other car cart that I smiled at? I have no idea what you look like in real life....
This is so funny! That was me. I had my daughter in the car cart and my son walking beside. I recognized you from a couple of the pictures you've posted. I hope you don't think I'm weird that I remembered what you looked like from a couple posts. I just remember things like faces, phone numbers, etc. Anyway, thanks for smiling at me! Maybe someday we'll actually meet for reals. :)
Wow! Some people really know how to give gifts! I cannot think of a better present. Way cool.
That is AWESOME! Um...can we borrow your hubby...for my baby???
Congrats on the B-day old lady. You are paving the way for your runt little brother into the mid 30's (gasp).
Maybe I'll get a kid of my own to send to Uncle Phil's Potty-training Palace before I'm 40.
Runt, eh? You're bigger than I am, PeeWee. I can't call you my "little" brother anymore, as you have so enjoyed pointing out for...how many years now?
Do you rent your husband out?
Wow, you have the best husband EVER. I can't even imagine a better birthday present. Five years ago I probably could have---but now, I'm all swooney thinking of the romanticism of such a gift and I'm going to start dropping hints for my birthday in July.
Happy Birthday, BTW. You know how to party f'real---Texas Land and Cattle!
What a GREAT birthday surprise! And SUCH a cutie --great photo!
I am so glad it was your son who got pottytrained, for just a second I thought you meant your husband. Whew!
So good to see you the other night. ZIp line, anyone?
Can I send Cami over?????
I don't think Phil is for hire, nor would he be willing to potty train others. He's mine, and mine alone. But thanks for asking...
lucky...
My toddler sat on the potty for two hours today voluntarily, does that count for something?
