Oddities

In the texture on my kitchen ceiling, right above my sink, there is a Wallace and Grommit type sheep head. I see it every night after I use my asthma inhaler while I'm rinsing my throat and mouth. It's sticking its tongue out at me. I think it's making fun of the way I gargle. (You would too, if you had to see me gargle.)

I never knew you had asthma. Is it Advair you're huffing? It doesn't make me see anything in the texture, but I do see a silhouette of a naked lady in the swirl of the marble of the bathroom countertop?? Maybe it's an hallucinogen? :)

I didn't know I had it until I was an adult. I've probably had it my whole life. I'm taking Asmanex right now, and no, it's not hallucinogenic. I see patterns in strange places. But my mind doesn't immediately go to the naked place like yours does, apparently. ;-)

If we sit on the right side of the chapel, 5 pews back, there is an eye that looks at us. (it's in the wood, but it's an eye, and not a happy looking one either.)

Because God is always watching you...

My dad, brothers, and Phil did a set of kitchen cabinets for a lady once. They said there was a distinct male body part in the grain of the wood on the side of one of the cabinets. Funny what kinds of images you find when you look for them.

See... I'm not the only one. But then God created naked people. It was Satan that told them to put clothes on, remember?

No, Satan suggested leaves. It was God who made them the coats of skin.

And speaking of putting clothes on...

LOL, ROFL..

Wait, I guess I better pull mine up. Apparently hanging my silky G's out the back isn't becoming anymore..

I love that you wrote a post on this, Julie. You're awesome. I get so tired of noticing shapes in every little thing. There's a tile pattern that seems to be in everyone's house that has the same repeating face of a gargoyle. It stares at me in the shower at my parents-in-law's house from every tile. Then I go to my brother's house and it stares out from his shower. Then I go to my brother-in-law's house and it's on his kitchen floor. AND, to make matter worse, I just discovered a little mini gargoyle face below it. Sorry to vent, and I'm sorry about the asthma.

Thanks, Lisa! I think only brilliant people find patterns in the tiles (and, apparently, wall/ceiling texture) around them. Glad to know you're one of us. ;-)

In my sofa there is a profile of a boy. In one of my daughters' Disney Princess towels there is a face.
You know, come to think of it, all the patterns I tend to notice are faces. What would Our Friend Freud have to say about this?
Albuterol makes me very shaky--in fact--there is such a thing as a steroid-induced mood disorder.
